Special Olympics Area 4

Area 4 was founded in 1973 and provides programming for people in the counties of Fulton, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Mercer, Rock Island and Warren.

We currently serve over 840 athletes, 80 from Warren County, have 39 active agencies and over 389 class A volunteers. Area 4 offers competition for athletes in 10 sports and hosted 10 competitions in 2009. There are many opportunities available for you to get involved with Special Olympics including serving as a volunteer or committee member, helping with fundraising, or competing as an athlete.
